The Football Association and SSE have teamed up to launch SSE Wildcats, designed to inspire girls aged between 5-11 to be involved in the sport.
The North Riding County FA have announced that there are 14 new SSE Wildcat's Girl's Football clubs across the County, with an extra £14,000 given to girl’s football across the County FA.
SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football Clubs will provide girls with regular opportunities to play football and take part in organised sessions in a fun and engaging environment created exclusively for girls aged 5-11.
The clubs will run from April through to summer on a weekly basis at different venues across the County FA. Each club will have qualified coaches and also links to local grassroots clubs to ensure there is a clear pathway for the girls into club football.
The initiative follows the launch The FA’s Gameplan for Growth, which outlined the target of doubling girls’ participation in the sport by 2020.
North Riding SSE Wildcats Clubs will be in the following area
